Battery Electric Vehicles increased by 26% in 2024, by an additional 15,000 BEVs. BEVs represented just 3.05% of the total passenger car fleet in 2024.

The Transport sector used 64% of its sectoral emissions ceiling for Carbon Budget 1 between 2021-2023, and is estimated to have used 86% by end of 2024.
