I actually love writing older characters. In "The Woods", Callahan is in his 70s during the final showdown. In my current WIP, "Heliruna", the protag's Oma is a major character. Callahan is a straight up action hero and Oma drives much of the emotional story forward, tho she's also the wise mentor.
