Three words we need to learn the difference of in these times: Re-port. Re-act. Re-spond. Reporting and reacting keep us in the past, while responding is to actually answer an action. A collective response, like an immune response, is the only way forward.

At some point soon, the pro-democracy collective needs to shift from reporting to responding. We must allow ourselves to go to the thought spaces of what we would do if the worst happens. Say they revoke women's right to vote. Rather than asking what the line is, we need to guard it.
