It's definitely not rules light, but also not rules heavy. PbtA is a bit too lite for me. For me, DH hits the sweet spot between lite and heavy medium crunch. It's definitely not appealing only to people who are new to the hobby though. Lot's of us 80's gamers are finding it fantastic.
