Curiosity, effort and willingness to increase your tolerance for discomfort/boredom when developing your opinions/taste is also crucial to creating work that reflects your point of view to others in a compelling way!

i have to believe that, at the end of the day, craft will save us. That our attention-spans can and will make time for it, both to slow down and make the thing you're proud of and for the person who encounters it and stops to soak it in. It's the only thing they can't take from us.

Discovering I was trans was the greatest blessing of my life. A simple explanation for a sense of wrongness I'd felt so long I thought that wrongness was me. I credit the trans community for bringing society to the point where I could understand what was wrong and get help.

Quick vent: I've been getting involved with a local co-op that's also involved with local activism and such. There's a business folks collab with within these circles. Someone there is a former friend responsible for a personal SA experience years ago. I don't know what to do.

For the #pouncepunk26 prompt hike, I painted my wife Ashley at the Channels Natural Area Reserve, from a picture I took of her back when we hiked to that incredible, magical place.

The intersection of people (women, trans people, people of color, people with disabilities) who can make good wages through SW is not a demographic that is generally allowed to enjoy financial security and this seems to truly infuriate a certain class of the affluent and powerful.

I’d love to see journalism exploring the mass deletion of SWs off X in conjunction with the rise of grok’s porn bots. There’s a certain tech bro fantasy of AI as a tool of economic deprivation against SWs. The deep resentment at the financial independence of online SW seems to have come to a head.
