I have experienced several “firsts” on this trip, and these are a few that were very much unplanned: - skinny dipped in the Gulf - completely nude in a public place - urinated in public - gave the keys to hubby to drive after I downed two drinks (Note: I didn’t have ANY drinks before the first 3)

Sometimes the lighting just calls to me. This might be my first (ever) participation in monochrome Monday, too.

Here’s more highlights:

We spent the day (all of it) at the Kennedy Space Center. I highly recommend it. (And it didn’t feel like pro-USA propaganda, as I feared it might. It also wasn’t pro-SpaceX or -Blue Origin or any other.)

We spent a couple of hours at a free play arcade this afternoon, specifically to play some pinball. It was fun! (I’m not very good…)

This is such a cool companion to the sticker club. I had purchased something similar to use with the piles of stickers I had collected over years, including the ones from the Planet Nude Sticker Club. So to have this is just a perfect match.

I had a wonderful visit to Blind Creek Beach today. The weather was wonderful, and it was just starting to get more crowded when I was ready to pack up. If you haven’t been before, it’s a great beach to be clothes-free. And the new parking lot is quite nice. Easy access to the beach, too. 👍👍

Naked ladies! I planted naked ladies! (You might otherwise know them as “surprise lilies” or “resurrection lilies”, but who calls them anything other than naked ladies??)

It’s not exactly warm, but the sun felt great on this WNGD. You’ll never guess what I planted… But now I’m indoors, working on potting-on my seedlings that have been growing in the basement for the past few months. The season is coming!

World Naked Gardening Day is this Saturday (the first Saturday in May), so of course the weather is going to be on the chilly side. Luckily, I get to garden in the buff rather frequently, and I’m pretty adaptable to cool temperatures. Learn more about WNGD: wngd.net

It’s a weekend of nice weather, which means a weekend of work in the garden. Yesterday, my purpose was to move rocks/stones from the old barn foundation out into the garden beds. Today, we’re removing more grass to make room for perennials.

I’ve had an offline convo with Linda, and I think I can clarify my intention here: we can be actively involved in helping drive change if we know what help is needed. I don’t have the privilege of attending the board/annual meetings. But I can call/write to people if I know what’s going wrong.

This was an interesting interview, and I came away with questions: 1- If the 7 trustees are the problem, how can members influence them? Who are they, and how do we contact them? 2- What are they preventing? What’s in the agenda that is stalling?

I’m in line at a fast food drive thru. A minivan pulled up behind me with their music BLASTING. The song? The hit “The Wheels On The Bus”. That song ends, and the next one starts. Another kids song, right? Nope. “Peaches” by Justin Bieber.

I got a new toy today, and I had some help getting it unboxed, setup, and calibrated. And now I wait for the filament to be delivered.

Sometimes I have something “important to share” and then I come here to share it and it doesn’t fit into one post and I just decide that I don’t need to say it anymore. Character limits are annoying. And I still have 79 chars left but nothing more to say. It’s funny how that works.

I met hubby and our close friends for lunch today. They told us that they were *this* close to joining us for our Florida trip next month, but they don’t think they can go. And besides, they wouldn’t go with me to the nude beach. And then she asked, loudly, “Does your wiener turn brown?”

A storm front blew through our area this evening (all good at home), and I drove home afterwards. These were a couple of neat clouds that I captured, all on the back side of the storm.

There I was, eating dinner on the front porch with Hubby, not wearing a damned thing, enjoying a pleasant Spring evening. And then a truck pulls into the driveway. Were we expecting anyone? Of course not. I got up and went inside, put on a pair of shorts, and returned.

I got to enjoy the first nude arsenic opportunity of 2026 today. It was almost HOT. Two trees made it into the ground. I hope they like it here.

I promise that it’s me in the video. And that’s my car stuck in the road at the end of the driveway. We got a little snow overnight and it drifted a little bit through the day today. Is it Spring yet?

I’ve been working on assembling this LEGO set over the last week, and I’m only about halfway done. (This is the botanical garden, and it has more pieces than any set I’ve assembled previously.)

I don’t usually have much down time during a work day, but today is a “hurry up and wait” day, and I’ve exhausted all of my usual distractions (social media, NYT Games, etc). I also got to the office 2.5 hours earlier than usual. It’s gonna be a loooooong day.

This fiddle leaf fig was growing in an imbalanced way, and it was too big for this corner. I took a leap and chopped it up, and after a handful of weeks, it’s growing! I’m quite pleased… so far.

Last night was my second seed sowing party (for one). I have wanted to grow more annuals (and veggies and perennials) from seed to spend less money, and this year it’s finally happening!

My first nude drive home of 2026. I’m equally excited that there was still daylight on the drive. I’m glad to be on this side of the solstice. Bring on Spring!

Welp. I need a LOT more practice. I’m trying to learn to paint with watercolors. Something I learned with this attempt is that I need to let things dry before I add more pigment/water.

T’was ABSOLUTELY worth it. A small portion of the grease (and all the delicious gremlins left in the pan) was used to fry up some potatoes (reds, with onion), and a couple of eggs were added for garnish. When the onions and potatoes go from salty-peppery to sweet and creamy…. I’m in heaven.

I did it. I broke the rule. I cooked bacon in the buff.

You ever find a fly in your soup? Last year, the host of this podcast (NNN) made clear, direct comments that disparaged people that he sees as fat/unhealthy. As if it’s his place. As the “official” podcast for AANR, I find it objectionable and irresponsible. Seeing them included here is gross.

While traveling for work, I took a few minutes to take some self portraits. I thought this room had interesting textures and fixtures, different from what I have at home. I also seem to be obsessed with these colors, and I had some small light panels helping to illuminate the scene.

I’m considering a brief visit to Turtle Lake Resort this weekend. Have you been before? My concern is: how warm is it in winter? They have indoor facilities and amenities, but it’s supposed to be REALLY cold this weekend, and I don’t want to have a bad experience.

I belong to a naturist discord server that has period photography challenges. This month, the challenge is to spell out a word (as many letters as possible) using photos. (Each letter is assigned a “theme”.) Using photos in my library, I’m able to spell “MAGNITUDE”.

I had disassembled my little photo studio about 6 weeks ago for a few projects, and finally put it back up last night. I’ve been inspired by several photographers’ works, and I was attempting to create something similar. But also, Hubby gifted me a colored light, so I just wanted to play. 🙂

Dear friends treated us to a night out last night, and we saw Mannheim Steamroller perform. They’ve been performing these hits for decades, but it was still a great show. It was very nostalgic for me.

Ok, it’s safe to share the story. For family Christmas, we draw names and give a gift to just the one person. I drew our oldest grandson, and thought it would be fun to wrap his gift in a crazy way. (Who gifts a toilet, anyway?) It was well received! I enjoy being silly. 🤪

I enjoyed a fascinating presentation from TNSF’s monthly naturism-in-culture series tonight. I wish I remembered more details and names, but it was a great, high-level orientation of the origins of gymnosophy, which is one philosophy that informed what we call naturism today. So cool!

I’m not a big celebrator of holidays, but I do love a creative use of technology. We have visited the Garden Glow event at Missouri Botanical Garden several times and did again last night. These were a few of my favorite views from the evening.

I found this silly/cute glamping trailer scratching pad at Aldi last week, and I put it together for the house cats today. They were very suspicious and curious.

We visited friends this weekend, and one had asked me if I would be willing to photograph him. I packed and took a bunch of my equipment and had a wonderful time! (Most of the photos are more personal/private for him, so I’ll only share this one here.) Who’s next?!
