I’m considering a brief visit to Turtle Lake Resort this weekend. Have you been before? My concern is: how warm is it in winter? They have indoor facilities and amenities, but it’s supposed to be REALLY cold this weekend, and I don’t want to have a bad experience.

I belong to a naturist discord server that has period photography challenges. This month, the challenge is to spell out a word (as many letters as possible) using photos. (Each letter is assigned a “theme”.) Using photos in my library, I’m able to spell “MAGNITUDE”.

I had disassembled my little photo studio about 6 weeks ago for a few projects, and finally put it back up last night. I’ve been inspired by several photographers’ works, and I was attempting to create something similar. But also, Hubby gifted me a colored light, so I just wanted to play. 🙂

Dear friends treated us to a night out last night, and we saw Mannheim Steamroller perform. They’ve been performing these hits for decades, but it was still a great show. It was very nostalgic for me.

Ok, it’s safe to share the story. For family Christmas, we draw names and give a gift to just the one person. I drew our oldest grandson, and thought it would be fun to wrap his gift in a crazy way. (Who gifts a toilet, anyway?) It was well received! I enjoy being silly. 🤪

I enjoyed a fascinating presentation from TNSF’s monthly naturism-in-culture series tonight. I wish I remembered more details and names, but it was a great, high-level orientation of the origins of gymnosophy, which is one philosophy that informed what we call naturism today. So cool!

I’m not a big celebrator of holidays, but I do love a creative use of technology. We have visited the Garden Glow event at Missouri Botanical Garden several times and did again last night. These were a few of my favorite views from the evening.

I found this silly/cute glamping trailer scratching pad at Aldi last week, and I put it together for the house cats today. They were very suspicious and curious.

We visited friends this weekend, and one had asked me if I would be willing to photograph him. I packed and took a bunch of my equipment and had a wonderful time! (Most of the photos are more personal/private for him, so I’ll only share this one here.) Who’s next?!

I’ve always thought the early history of nudism would make a great thread for @dieworkwear.bsky.social, mostly because it runs straight through the same forces that reshaped modern clothing in the industrial era. Since it’s a piece of history I work with often, here’s the short version. 1/

Miss Bianca and Barnard are enjoying freedoms (still kept in the barn but not always kept in their condo). Miss Bianca is much more loving when she’s had freedom to run.

I had the privilege of visiting Blind Creek Beach this morning. I had been in the area for work and had some time before my flight home. The air temp was *quite chilly* but the sun and water felt amazing. ☀️🌊 For this visit, I was able to connect with a BlueSky friend, which made it even better.

I forgot to follow-up on this thread. I ended up having my clothes-minded friend help with the deck, and it is mostly finished. I wore shorts for the first day of his help, and the second day was rather cold, so I wore a shirt AND shorts that day.

The friends mentioned here are the same that recently learned that I’m a naturist. We had a nice conversation about naturism (two of them, actually), and while I don’t know that either of them would join me, they also didn’t seem to have any negative feelings about it. ☀️🌊

Close friends took us on a super short adventure over the weekend to peep some fall colors in northern Georgia.

I finished our cat condo for the new barn cats over the weekend, and the cats came home today. Not 15 minutes of holding the baby boy, and Hubby was already asking if they can move into the house tonight. 🤔

My heart is bursting with joy! I have always (since I was a little kid) loved butterflies, and I have wanted to create a garden that attracted them. Especially the monarch butterfly. This video is from today, and I’m beyond thrilled! (Hubby says he saw 100x more a few weeks ago!)

We had a bit of an adventure today. We tried to go to a regional Lego enthusiast convention, but we learned that it had been cancelled upon arriving at the venue. So we did some antique shopping and had a wonderful lunch.

Here’s the catio, which is roughly 8 x 3 x 3 feet. I need to add the doors and the end panels, and then I’d like to add some different levels (shelves?) inside to give them places to climb and be.

I’ve spent the day building a catio for some barn cats that we will adopt very soon. (Photos later) I’m trying to do it well, while maintaining that barn cats do NOT require perfection. But damn, I’m tired! They had better appreciate this!!! lol Also, step-son is here, so clothing required. 😢

Here’s another, though it’s much more recent. I submitted this to an art project, and it’s featured on a limited-edition deck of cards that were intended to be a modern/contemporary take on tarot.

Many moons ago, I put much more emphasis on making creative photos, not just taking selfies. Here’s one, where I used a fisheye lens attachment on my phone to get this funky, surreal effect. It didn’t hurt that I’m typically NOT a morning person.

I tried that thing that people like to do where they just lay out in the sunshine and relax for a bit. I lasted about 35 minutes, but I didn’t hate it.

I set up some of my photography equipment in the basement and had to take some test photos to make sure I had things functioning properly. My face is saying “are we done yet?”

I got to spend the afternoon at Valley View Recreation Club (VVRC) near Madison, WI, today. I was joined by my husband and close friends that are visiting from Tennessee. Hubby took this photo of me. I think it says “You interrupted The Thinker.” 🤪🤷

One of our friends said he’s upset that I haven’t asked him to come help build this little deck. But he’s not ready to follow the dress code, so I guess I just get to do it myself! 🤷🙂

Happy Home Nudist Day! I typically prefer the label of naturist, as my lack of clothing isn’t limited to just “not wanting to wear clothes”. But regardless, it’s a day to celebrate! (Nudists and naturists exist, whether practicing at home or at a club/resort/beach.)

Naturist After Dark: Just trying to make progress on a summer project before summer ends. Nothing sensational - just doing something that others might do while wearing clothes. 🤷
