What goes on in the West Bank is NOT an internal Israeli affair, therefore, and we're delighted so many Members of Congress are reminding PM Netanyahu of Israel's obligations as an occupier under int'l law - and that the demolitions in question would constitute a "naked violation of int'l law".

The West Bank has been held under military occupation by Israel since 1967. It is NOT part of sovereign Israeli territory and its Palestinian residents (unlike the illegal Israeli settlers there) have no civil rights and no say in the government that controls their lives and fate.

The demolition targets private homes and community buildings. We salute the 108 (and counting!) Members of Congress, all supporters of a democratic Israel, who have so far signed on, and we look forward to more Representatives joining their ranks.
