Has Arteta ever coached a centre forward to make them better? To make them see an upturn in chances? To improve on their numbers? Arsenal didn’t look like scoring tonight. I’ve got no idea what their pattern of play is that ends up with the striker scoring. They are so reliant on set pieces.

Others have probably said this but it strikes me that Trump is talking about this Venezuelan attack as a TV show he commissioned. He watched a live stream on his home TV. He’s mainly talked about how exciting it was. Guess that makes it more likely he will ‘commission a sequel’? 😬

On the way, my phone had exploded. Klopp had seen the film and mentioned it in the press conference. 🤯 The way he looked to camera and thanked us! I played it to the pub that night on the big screen and it erupted. Everyone celebrated it like a goal. ❤️ I still feel emotional about this moment.

Watched ‘The Thinking Game’ yesterday. Doco puff piece paid for by Google Deepmind. They say things like “we want to use AI to cure cancer” and then hire the best engineers and put them on six figure salaries only to try (and fail) to beat a pro StarCraft player. 🫠 Get a grip.

Definitely sounds like Slot is positioning himself to play Salah tomorrow. Isak & Gakpo injured. Salah desperate to play. And will be desperate to score infront of the Kop. It’s a bit of a no brainer to give him this one, assuming talks today are amicable enough.

After Salah spoke to the mixed zone in Leeds, surely they all got on the bus together back to Liverpool. Wouldn’t the news of his interview have broken whilst they were all on the team bus?! Slot should’ve waited at the door and pulled Salah aside them, as soon as they arrived back in Liverpool.

Of the incredible Liverpool 19/20 XI not many getting a nice goodbye. - Trent booed at Anfield. - Henderson farewell video separate from club. - Gini contract gazumped by PSG. - Mane suddenly off day after parade. - Firmino/Fabinho to Saudi. - Salah moaning to the press. Matip was chill.

It will be interesting to see how Slot manages this. - do you discipline Salah for speaking out? - do you blank him completely and sell him? - do you ask him to apologise to the squad? - do you say you’ll speak and decide after AFCON? - do you forgive and say it’s just a very emotional season?

It’s so sad it’s come to this. My 3-year-old doesn’t even use the word football, he just says “dad! can we play mosalah?” Salah has been an absolute icon.

There’s something special about world cups being every four years. Players only get so many chances to play in them. And fans measure time with them too. Each World Cup feels like a marker on a timeline of a football fans lifetime. You know where you were.

Those goals. Unbelievable. Every one of them. 1-0 🤸🏻♂️ One of the finest overhead kicks you will see. 2-1 ⚠️ A corner whipped right in the danger zone. 3-2 💫 A long range curled wonder strike. 4-2 🤯 And a folklore-cementing lob from the halfway line. Ridiculous. 😍🤪
