Here's my spicy one. People need to seriously shut the hell up about the beanmouth. It existed in slient cartoons and it existed a lot more in Japanese anime than American cartoons. Cartoon critics who keep bashing on it don't know jack shit how the industry works. CalArts had nothing to do with it.

This is Tomioka Atsuhiro's first episode as writer, after the first two episodes were written by Shudou Takeshi—the guy in charge of Series Construction. Tomioka was the series' rookie writer at the time and would go on to become its most senior writer and the writer of the most episodes by 2023.

Sub-contracted to Studio Cockpit, Episode #3 has animation supervised by Tamagawa Akihiro and key animation from Iwane Masaaki—now known for his over 100 impressively animated solo key animation episodes of Pokemon. The face game is strong here, even if movement is limited.

Now that I'm using Bluesky more, I can say this: Sylvester, Sylvia, and Sylvester Jr. forever y'all.
