I’m calling it… Disney Animation will either release Frozen III part 2 or an original film on June 15, 2029 and Pixar will release Coco 2 on November 21, 2029.

While I knew that Incredibles 3 is coming out in 2028, around the same time as the second film’s tenth anniversary, I’m also surprised that the sequel to the live action Lilo and Stitch is coming out only a few weeks prior in that same year.

Animat is absolute right about this! What I hate about arguments that those people push is that essentially throws artists under the bus just because the people who espouse those arguments don’t like the company employing them.

Plus the animated movie that won the Oscar this year was produced by Sony and Netflix, which are also mega-corporations. Same goes for people who rooted for Puss in Boots 2 to beat "big, bad Disney", when that movie was produced by Universal...which is owned by Comcast. Just celebrate the artists.

Yeah, it's just really petty and shameful. I do think Disney as a corporation deserves criticsm, but I think the films the animation studios make deserve support and it's just hurtful to the artists. I loved Elio and Zootopia 2 just as much as KPop Demon Hunters and they deserved some respect.

Also, it’s wild that people will keep flip-fliooping the Oscars’ validity for their own narrative. They’ll rant about how they never take animation seriously, but then immediately take down Disney as if the Oscars not calling their movies the best now means something.

This right here! What makes most of the Disney hate so cringe nowadays is they never realize how they keep throwing the artists under the bus just to make a petty jab at the corporation.

It was a small gesture, but I'm glad Will Arnett took a stand against AI last night at the Oscars in support of the animation medium. Gestures like that do mean a lot to me as a fan and supporter of the medium and the hard-working creatives pouring themselves into the art.

Over Kpop Demon Hunters winning an Oscar. So um, how does this fellow explain Zootopia 2 doing extremely well or Hoppers being well received and doing well at the box office?

“Animation is cinema” is officially dead to me. I can’t take these “people” seriously anymore. It’s sad that the medium I love isn’t getting the love it deserves all because of this dick twat going after the artists that made your favorite movies. You love cinema, show some fucking respect!

At this rate, I do not CARE what studio wins as long as the film itself is well done. I preferred Zootopia 2 this year but KPOP: Demon Hunters is also a solid win. Also, they say Disney should step up their game? Just they wait cause they'll get upset if they do win again.
