What a coincidence that I got a Minions and Monsters ad before AniMat’s podcast starts and then he made the announcement that he’s seeing it this evening before the official release on Wednesday. I kind of knew as to why he started his podcast an hour early this time.

Rewatched 2025’s Superman last night to prepare to watch Supergirl later tonight (despite mixed reactions), and I couldn’t help but notice that this scene is very similar to the toxic cartoon community right now unnecessarily slamming things that’s not cater to their taste just to get likes.

Is it perfect, of course not…. But damn….AniMat was not kidding about that this is a spiritual successor to Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio, and even GDT himself was a mentor in this. And um…..Golden from KPop Demon Hunters….you have a contender for the best musical number of 2025. 9/10

It’s sadly becoming increasingly harder to find cartoon reviewers/YouTubers who generally make videos where they just talk positively about animation and not trying to cater to an audience of cynical reactionaries.

Another day, another soulless “DreamWorks is better than Disney” vid on YouTube. And is this coming from someone who’s a bit more excited for Forgotten Island than Hexed.

(I don’t mind this much personally, as I love seeing shorts in theaters regardless and having shorts tied to franchises can help some original films get more interest, like with Hexed)

Hexed will be the first Disney Animation film with a short playing before it in all or most countries since 2021’s Encanto. With this, Pixar’s Finding Nemo short, and other recent shorts, I feel that theatrical shorts will be more IP-based going forward.

Looks like Disney Animation isn’t the only one that got a new short film. Don’t know it’s confirmed yet, but I believe that it could be in front of Gatto.

BTW, since we are talking about theatrical animated shorts, Hexed won’t be the only one that will have one. In the same month, the 2026 Cat in the Hat film will also have a short before the film, Daffy Season starring Daffy Duck, that will also be in hybrid animation.

After 5 years since the last time they’ve done this and almost 25 years since the original film….. Disney Animation has a new theatrical short film before Hexed staring Lilo and Stitch in the main studio’s first project for these two since the original 2002 film following having a huge franchise.

Sony Pictures Animation didn’t make a insane comeback from one of the worst animated films like The Emoji Movie to one of the best animated films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse so you could tell me that A.I. is “inevitable”.

Thread To be completely honest, I was very close to checking out Ray Gunn. Mainly because it’s directed by renown filmmaker, Brad Bird. But the reason why I’m not as anticipated as some of the other animated films around the same time like Wildwood, Forgotten Island, and Hexed….

So, here’s the dates for the rest of Netflix’s animated films for 2026….. Steps is coming out on November 20th, days before Disney’s Hexed. Unsure if it’s good or bad, but we’ll wait and see. Btw, I’m afraid that it might be Leo over Wish or KPop over Elio again, but again, f*ck Film Twitter.

To the people who think that this soulless AI trailer (which I haven’t seen nor will I ever watch it) is better than the non-AI trailer, maybe you should get off the internet for good and touch grass or something.

Going great so far! It’s more comedic than the previous trailer, but the comedy is hilarious (and better than the “Who Let the Dogs Out” joke in the last trailer) so far. I already enjoying Raww the dog.

I REALLY cannot be more happy for Viv Medrano right now. Getting to showrun two of probably the most biggest indie animated shows right now AND now getting to handle a mainstream feature film. She is someone who is REALLY living the dream.

I’m very happy that Illumination is still committed to making original animated films, and this one is very intriguing.

Yep. Got this about a month ago It’s really nice to own a Disney animated film that they usually don’t make something like this on Blu ray. Except that it also includes the terrible direct to toilet sequel.
