At Severn Beach today male eclipse Wigeon, Blackcap (can’t tell if it’s male or female but I suspect female) 2 male Stonechats and, I think a male Reed Bunting. Also 6 Little Egrets with 2 Grey Herons, 3 Wheatears, 9 Turnstones with 2 Ringed Plovers

@severnsidebirds.bsky.social is this a Whinchat? I have never seen one before. It was on the rocks at New Passage this morning with a Wheatear. I thought it was a strange juvenile Wheatear until I looked at it properly at home!

Love the sounds of the estuary on a quiet autumn morning - wigeon, redshank, curlew and of course, the Canada Geese - New Passage
