Between the grief, the stress of having 2 high school seniors, trying to get work done, and a fairly terrific headache, I’m in a big dopamine trough today. I caught myself wanting to drive too fast, music too loud. I only want candy, not food. Maybe another energy drink. Anything for the dopamine.

It’s been 10 weeks since my wife passed away unexpectedly. I’ve been back at work for seven due to lack of leave. There’s still so much to do at home. If this country made any sense I wouldn’t be back until June. The idea that I would be able to be productive before then is ludicrous.
