I have to admit, unlike nearly every music fan I know, I’ve always been a little unmoved by Springsteen but I think this might be the best introduction to a song I’ve ever seen.

Recently discovered interviews from The Tommy Tiernan Show on YouTube. It’s wonderful. He never knows who is coming on so is unprepared but all the ones I have watched have been sensitive and thoughtful and a world away from most celebrity interviews.

Thrilled by the announcement of the deluxe 30th Anniversary edition of Ween’s 12 Golden Country Greats, and not only because it has my favorite unreleased Ween song, “I’ve Got No Darkside” among its 14 unreleased songs. The liner notes also appear to be from Ben Vaughn, too.

Ben Auld’s Loserdom is a good thrashy guitar pop record. I’m not a fan of the style of the solos but otherwise a good time.

Nice to see John Allison has done the Lemon Twigs illustration for their review in Mojo. It’s taken a few plays but Look For Your Mind! is finally starting to sound like another triumph.

New Lemon Twigs LP arrived with a cassette of demos and alternate versions. Guess I’m going up in the loft for the tape deck then.

Listening to a playlist of favourite tracks from 2014 that I made at that time. Me from 2014 did well, it’s great, and was surely more in touch with new releases than me in 2026.

Record shop in Brighton selling the Don Agrati record for what looked like £50. Missing in Glasgow selling the same for £3 and they had two copies. Also apparently Jellyfish’s Bellybutton is now a £50 on-the-wall record.

Charity shop rescues

Decided to pick up this Japanese version of the We Gotta Groove Beach Boys box. It’s just the three CD’s. With this kind of thing I’m never going to listen to it on vinyl so it seemed a waste to have a box with both formats and even with postage it was a third of the price of the full size box.

Vampisoul in Spain have put out new versions of these two. Seemed only right to pick them up in Barcelona last month, though think they are around in the UK. I picked up the CD versions on LITA when they came out so didn’t *need* these but, you know… #nowplaying
