Holy shit, Sen. Bernie Sanders has said more to defend Graham Platner than he has about the sustained attack on the political power of Black Americans. And honestly, this should come as no surprise.

The 1964 election pitted pro-civil rights Democrat LBJ against anti-civil rights Republican Goldwater. Of course Bernie Sanders didn't vote in that presidential election in the year in which the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed into law & civil rights was a major issue.

I’m not highlighting this to stir up arguments about the DNC, but to highlight a positive while a lot of us are pissed off re DNC Chair Ken Martin, as well as recent ignorant comments from others aimed at former Chair Jaime Harrison. There has been a lot of frankly justified disappointment lately regarding various members of the Democratic Party & in particular, the DNC’s apparent embrace of a primary candidate (who has not won yet, going against DNC bylaws) with severe character questions.

A recent vote in PA has been going viral. PA Dems passed a bill to block the creation of whites-only housing communities. It was introduced to stop extremists using housing loopholes.
