I think it's really funny to ask this question when the answer is obvious. Which is that the cost for this crisis should be shouldered by the people who have been concentrating more and more wealth at our expense. It's past time we had austerity for the rich and not for the rest of us.

My entire adult life has been one "oops there's another once in a lifetime crisis, time to tighten your belt" after another and you don't need to be a genius to see whose wormed their way out of tightening their belt and for whom that's been mandatory at every turn.

50% of my life has been under one austerity regime or another at this point, either that has to turn around really quickly or you're going to end up with a bigger problem than trite lines being trotted out by vaguely left-of-centre types.
