Just finished rereading the first novel of a trilogy that bills itself as "hard-hitting, rip-roaring military/naval science fiction". It's an okay trilogy. I reread it every so often, like I do the few Trek novels I have. The trilogy ended on a cliffhanger as the author passed of COVID in 2020.
