This is essential work - thank you Jess! We are in danger of losing track of the very definition of truth. People no longer know what to believe. Our democracy and society are threatened.

If the government and all its departments leaves X and uses BlueSky instead, and schools follow suit, the move over of the general public will be immense. Then we can leave X to those who want to indulge their sexual frustrations and vent their racist bigotry.

No school should be on X or oblige parents to get updates from it. A site that actively promotes porn, bullying, hate and fascism is not an appropriate place to post pictures of sports days.

The social media platforms have a duty to stamp out racism on their platform- a duty which they’re clearly not fulfilling. Sanctions are necessary.

The government has committed to a £100,000 cap on donations from British voters living abroad. This is a step in the right direction, but it does not address the super wealthy who currently live in the UK.

For the avoidance of doubt- Burnham has been in Makerfield since Thursday. Meanwhile, the voters of Clacton may well get the chance to get rid of their absentee MP when Farage is suspended from Parliament
