Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him And they should, given this is his fault.

Are you a yes on removing Schumer as minority leader & replacing him with someone who will strip committee assignments from defector Dems? Covering your ass with a no vote means nothing if Democrats cannot reinstate caucus discipline.

Warner is up for reelection. He was widely seen driving towards surrender behind the scenes, but he's voting no in public because it's unpopular. The real question is whether he supports a senate leadership change. If not, someone who supports senate leadership change should primary him.

Should be pretty clear that without House commitment on a vote on ACA extensions, it is purely symbolic as part of the Senate deal

If you’ve made your Senate calls, time to start calling Dem Congressional representatives (both D.C. & local numbers) and telling them not to accept anything the Senate sends down that doesn’t include ACA subsidies. Personal stories help. Tell them how much caving will cost YOUR family.

If I were @schumer.senate.gov, I would not agree to help Republicans fund this regime on the "promise" of an ACA vote at a later date. It didn't work the last time when they promised to fund DC. It won't work this time either. The House won't touch it.

I just did this and if nothing else it was cathartic. I said I would make it my life’s mission to make sure there’s a primary challenger for any D involved in this deal, it’s fucking embarrassing.

Any “deal” that ends with Dems just getting a pinky promise in return is a mistake. The American people are suffering because Republicans refuse to stop healthcare costs from skyrocketing. An agreement that doesn’t fix that reality falls massively short.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

I'm legitimately confused about the play here. No person who now is going to go without coverage in the ACA is going to just blame the GOP. They will rightly blame the Democrats too. Dems won't get "points" for "fighting" if they cave. It makes little sense.

So contact your Senator whether they're on the list or not! Maybe ask them to support a primary challenger for anyone who caves!
