2 of my favorite authors. Cormac McCarthy & Larry McMurtry. After reading these books and watching the Lonesome Dove mini series, some of my fondest memories were re-reading the books out loud to my Mom on quiet evenings. Lonesome Dove at almost 1000 pages. The Border Trilogy at about 1200 pages.
