This is such an important study that I sent it on to my city's Engineering team, who are already all-in on bikes and Vision Zero. Sharrows are ONLY good when they signify a truly shared street, where bikes and cars go at roughly the same speed. CROW and NACTO have good examples of both.

Need to rebrand bike lanes as mobility lanes. Especially in areas like Charles street in beacon hill where locals and tourists are fighting for foot space amongst strollers on the bumpy brick sidewalks.

What you canât see are the three children riding bikes to my right side. What you can feel is this drivers impatience with having to drive responsibly. Do drivers not realize that this behavior puts undue stress on those outside of vehicles? Give the kids a break, let âem ride their bikes.

I hasten to remind everyone that one of the consequences of increased car dependency is reduction in the quantity and quality of in-person interactions that are necessary to break the spell of fascism. It's going to take a lot of local effort just to keep things *only as bad* as they are now.
