I'm staggered that the Scottish Greens support this. Scotland is one of the few countries in Europe, along with Eng and Wales that still require a uniform to attend school. As on the continent, a fairer society would not require pupils to have a second set of clothes just to wear to school.

We firmly oppose this measure, as existing evidence indicates that such laws do not, in fact, protect people who cycle. The union should be calling for better active transport infrastructure instead of deflecting responsibility to the most vulnerable people on the roads.

Thank you to @spokes.org.uk this is a helpful poster and enlightened policy from Scotrail. Only a few years back they appeared keen to make cycle travel as unpleasant as possible on some routes, this is good stuff.
