Field #archery today. Traipsing through misty woods carrying your bow, shooting at (and hitting) foam targets is just awesome. As usual when shooting Field, no sights, no stabilisers. Just me using the Force. And yes, I 100% went for the standing bears nuts...

Self reflection at #archery today. The longer I hold at full draw the worse my shot will be. So I shot whole session with a Metronome under strict timing. By the end shooting was much better, five 10's & one 8 at 30m (at a 80cm target, so ten ring is 8cm in diameter). Hope this lesson sinks in!

These are the last 2 #Transformers toys I have brought (um, not the LAST, the latest). Both are Megatron, but one was £5.99 from Home Bargains (weighing 135g) & one cost almost TEN times as much from Smyths (weighing 209g). Can you tell which is which? Home Bargains is better value (by weight). 😉

Air Rifle shooting (10m) at Calshot yesterday! Scored very well on 1st round, 49/50 but 1st shot went off early. 2nd round smaller target, still scored 49/50! Super hard last round. Shot has to be ALL in coloured hole & not touch outer black ring to count, 3/5. Great fun! #Archery must help.

Shot 30yd 252 yesterday in Barebow mode. Scored 252 which is well above the 189 required for Barebow. Good result after being away for 3 weeks. Afterward I shot the full bow (sight, stabilisers) at 40yds (to ease back in) then 80yd practice. 80yds could be better but no misses! #archery

#TFN2025 is over & t'was a blast. Very light on the toys this year, it was all about catching up with people, meeting some new ones (& getting a bit drunk). If I spoke to you I hope I didn't bore you too much lol. Fantastic weekend surrounded by wonderful friends & a bit sad it's over.

At #archery today I needed to adjust; -my sight rail roll axis -loose sight block screw -arrow rest (as it was set for my thicker Field arrows) But after all that 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 9 at 40yds & no misses at 80yds! Did I get groups like that at 80yds? Course not. 🙄

Shot an Introduction to Field #Archery today! Hampered by break down on the way there (crapped out battery) but fixed by the AA & only 1.5hrs late. Shoot Instinctive Barebow when I do Field (no sights/stabilisers) which is a totally different shooting style. Only missed 3 out of 24 targets! Fun!

Just watched Fantastic Four: First Steps in 3D (only 5 of us in the cinema!). Very good, between that & Superman, superhero films are well represented at the mo'. Projector failed 2/3's through, had to go out & ask them to fix it. Got 2 free Tango Ice Bursts out of it though.

Finished watching #Ironheart on Disney+. Wasn't sure at first because Riri was not very likeable, but the show got better & better & does a 180º by the end. Really enjoyed it, when is season 2?!

Don't usually post vids of me shooting but v. pleased with results of working on my #archery release last night. These shots ended up being X, 10, X (20yds) & you can hear the 3rd arrow rattling against the 1st! (20yds, 60cm target). Must continue this next session! And my bow is REALLY quiet!
