This is an excellent thread that really does show how we are in the long game - and in Canada for some grants there is only 1 application deadline per year. Can be brutal to get funding.

Hard to believe this is Day 1 of Year 29 at Simon Fraser! I started Jan. 1, 1998. It's been interesting watching the changing Canadian science landscape over these decades. I've been so fortunate to work with amazing trainees and staff over those years. I couldn't have gotten this far without them.

Why do some journals make it so hard to easily attach the supplemental information to the PDF your are reading? I want it all together! Having to download 1-4 supplemental figs for each main fig is not practical.

Sad news about Jane Goodall. She was an inspiration to me growing up and I feel so fortunate that I was able to meet her when she received an honorary degree from SFU in 2018. She was truly a legend.
