I've seen some really bizarre takes about this movie from a lot of people who's reviews and opinions I admire, and it's been really odd. The movie makes it clear at every turn to tell you how you should feel about Bear and Nikki. I am genuinely confused by some of the reactions I'm reading.

Hoping to see them! "Taking the Long Way" isn't my favorite album of theirs, but it's very good and I'm hoping to finally get to see them live.

Rewatching some season four and five episodes of "Friends," and the start of Monica and Chandler's relationship is just so charming. Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry are just so delightful and winning together.

With respect, I don't know what Mr. Beast feels about anything. But also, I think this is a terrible way to consider art. I guarantee there are plenty of movies, shows, books, etc. that are adored by awful people. Someone not understanding art shouldn't affect my understanding of it.

Watching "Child's Play" on Prime and it goes from a woman falling out of a window to an immediate ad for liberty biberty. Lol.

So .. I'm not sure a movie has ever filled me with so much anxiety in a movie theater than "Obsession." Lol. Not a perfect movie, but a deeply unpleasant one. Not meant as a criticism. But...it's a dark one.

I wish we'd just stop caring about people who don't like/use Bluesky? Like, they've made their decision, and they will act as if it their decision makes them more willing to engage with "tough" ideas - when they just want numbers and attention. It's really not much more than that.

Remember when so-called "serious" members of the media were trying to make it seem like Olivia Nuzzi was not only 1) a good journalist, but 2) worth paying attention to? Total flop. They all really, really want to be celebrities. Not much different than the far right folks. Lol.

"Solo" is a decent movie thanks to a great central performance (Ehrenreich had a near impossible job, but he kinda kills it), but I HAAATE that they randomly made it so that Solo isn't his last name. Where did that come from? Who ever thought his name wasn't just Han Solo? So dumb.

People have been saying this for the past decade, but I just don't get it. I don't think he's funny at all. If anything funny results from him, it's due to the reaction from other people. Even then, it's rarely that funny. Like...what about this is clever or funny?

I personally don't think Kamala Harris should be the 2028 nominee. However, I also don't think she'd be an awful one, either. Her campaign showed promise and she deserves credit. It's clear Biden was holding her back. And, free from him, she may be successful. But... she still needs a lot of work.

Recall: Dems hung tough on no funding for ICE & BP, Rs caved and passed rest of DHS and decided to do ICE and BP via reconciliation. Trump wanted ballroom then slush fund, couldn’t work it out, & here we are. Lesson for Dems: Hanging tough put pressure on Rs, -> Rs in disarray.

I confess to being a fan of music for Instagram stories (although I don't overuse it!), while mostly thinking music should RARELY (if ever) be used for a grid post.

The next administration needs to tear anything and everything down if they do stuff like this. Don't go through Congress. Just have demolition companies on day one and get to work.

It really is depressing how Trump and conservatives (with plenty of help from the mainstream media) have been very successful at rewriting and downplaying January 6th. People trying to overthrow the government , assault Congress/cops, and toss out election results might soon be millionaires.

I think the reason I've been a little ambiently mad all day is because January 6th rioters are statistically the most likely group of pedophiles in the world and they clubbed a guy to death and they're going to be rich from the tax money that I give to the country I live in.

I do think we're well passed the time where we extrapolate based on early ballots, voting, etc. We basically just have to wait to see how things turn out instead of trying to read tea leaves. But looks like this is going to be a pretty devastating night for Dems in GA. It's no Virginia.

This is insanely corrupt. And if it actually goes through, I'm not sure how to really bounce back from it. The next Dem POTUS needs to appoint someone absolutely ruthless at DOJ to dismantle everything Trump and his family have.

I do think the media deserves any and all criticism for the moment we're in. But it is also true, that most Americans seem mostly apathetic to this stuff as well. It's a pretty dreadful combination that makes genuine progress in this country extremely difficult.

I try not to get angry at everything, because, frankly, then I would spend all day, every day as angry as can be. But this "settlement" in which Trump is stealing almost TWO BILLION DOLLARS of our tax dollars really, really, REALLY pisses me off.

This is insane. The terms of DOJ's slush fund appear to transfer control of $1.8 billion beyond US government entirely. Unless I'm misreading this, that would circumvent Congress *entirely* and put the money outside of *any* constitutional and/or legal constraints ofany kind. Straight up theft.

If I were the opposition party I'd be saying anyone involved in creating this corrupt scheme will be prosecuted but also anyone accepting payments from it will at minimum be required to pay back the full sum with interest

Look - I'd love to be wrong. But all of these thinkpieces and posts about Cassidy losing his primary due to Trump possibly leading to him becoming a fierce critic in the Senate seem silly.
