One of my favorite new pop songs in years. The whole album is killer. The tune is mostly back and forth between two chords, but the bass uses syncopation and a carefully crafted build in rhythmic complexity to keep momentum. Especially tasty example of doing just enough. Man I Need by Olivia Dean.

Paddle boarding was super nice. Got out early, paddled to the middle then cracked open a cold one. Wind had us drift entirely to the other side of the “lake”, so we parked and had lunch. Got back on & paddled against the wind until the wind shifted and violently pushed us back to shore.
