It’s been a journey toward understanding this and I’m happy to share. White supremacy’s only goal is total annihilation. When we try to make ourselves “small” to be fit in and not be a bother or whatever, we’re actually doing white supremacy’s job.

Most red states in the South are states with majority black populations. I reject the idea that blue states should punish (or mock) the people living in red states to prove a political point, as if it would even be feasible. This kind of rhetoric solidifies the idea that liberals are out of touch.

Thank you to everyone who prayed / sent good vibes and thoughts for my dad and my family. It’s a literal miracle.. he went from being in a really critical stage to to a solid recovery and in rehab. Even though I don’t know all of you, I can’t thank you all enough.

Falling asleep is difficult again.

I am not hopeless or cynical, but you have to understand, for some people, there is never a good reason to help another person. Regardless of age, class, race, gender, etc. They will find reasons they think they can spin into something palatable, but they really just believe someone has to suffer.

8-ish years ago I got strangers to pay off $300k in “lunch debt” so kids who were being punished for owing money could do things like eat, go to prom, and, walk at their own graduation. In the 20 years I’ve engaged in social media, I have never received more hate for anything else I’ve said or done.

If law enforcement wants to enter your home, unless you consent, they need a JUDICIAL warrant like a search warrant. And you'll notice cops with search warrants don't ask permission. If ICE needs your permission to enter, they don't have a judicial warrant. They have an administrative warrant.

Just FYI, administrative warrants (like the ones used by ICE) are not judicial warrants (used by cops, signed by a judge). You do NOT legally have to open the door for an ICE officer with an administrative warrant *no matter what the ICE officer says.*
