I suspect the major negative fallout of vibe coding isn’t going to be taking jobs from software developers but instead an epidemic of insecure apps that get hacked with ease

Ok, Cursor. Whatever you say. Yes, I am 30. 😂 And yes, I was using Cursor to figure out what json.loads does because it was not behaving as I was expecting (or my input was garbage, more like it).

When I started writing this post, I did a search for "RAG is dead" and found 5+ pages of results with that title. So I set out to figure out why so many people were writing about it or if it's just click bait. Spoiler alert: it is. And RAG is not dead, but evolving.

An MIT study of 54 participants found ChatGPT users had lower brain activity, weaker memory, and less creativity than Google or unaided writers. ChatGPT users brain activity declined over time, relied on copy-paste, and couldn’t recall what they wrote. The brain is a muscle, use it or lose it.

I know people like to be like, "Politicians aren't your friends" but politicians, especially at state and local levels, are members of the community elected to serve. People routinely are also friends with politicians. People lost friends today as well as a colleague and it's devastating.
