Honestly, this is my #1 objection to yesterday’s decision. SCOTUS had many, many opportunities to curb universal injunctions against the Biden administration. For four years, it refused. Then, almost as soon as Trump returned to office, it changed the rules to take away universal injunctions. Why?

It's vital to emphasize that the GOP has been calling for violence against their political opponents for more than a decade now, led by Trump. The violence keeps escalating, and they keep doing it because they're getting results.

History shows that only a small fraction of our population is needed to quash the movement of a dictator like Trump through nonviolent mobilization. This weekend, we have the chance to deliver those numbers.
