I sometimes think ok I won't spend hours and hours on end this time researching interests. Doing so doesn't allow me to get done anything else that I need to do. 7 hours later and my autistic brain won't let me stop.

Autistic me has a place for everything. Annnnd I mean EVERYTHING. I also like to spend as much time as I can at a social event in the bathroom to myself if I can. This is the place for me.

Autistic life is why oh why do people assume I can't do anything for myself just because I am autistic. Yes I'm fortunate I can do some things myself but seriously this attitude needs to stop.

Don't tell someone that is autistic to calm down if they're experiencing a meltdown. It's just not a nice thing to do. It would be like expecting a fish to breathe outside of water. Instead show support, patience or even ask if there is anything I can do to help or just leave the person alone.

One of the most frustrating things about being autistic for me is I can't just chill on something new and just go with the flow... yeah go with the flow. The stuff dreams are made of right. I have to do all the research possible and even then when I think I have done enough, enough is not enough.

It's bizarre that the moment I tell someone that I'm autistic they then assume I'm good at maths. I can barely count on my fingers, so yes I'm goooooood at maths.

You have the autistic urge to google words and their synonyms. It is a natural thing for you to do. You do this so that you can find out their precise meaning then use the words that most closely capture what you want to express. The thought of using inaccurate words can feel very uncomfortable.
