Bill’s presentation was simply transcendent—uncovering the history of his hometown though the lens of baseball. It was so cool to see the (presumably not very SABR-oriented) Dwight community support such a very SABR program. (Sweet bonus - getting to check out the Bud Clancy jersey and bat.)

From 1986-88, Fleer made a 120-card "Classic Miniature" set. And the best thing about them - they used different photos from the regular sized set. Fleer was the best.

I really miss Fleer Super Star Special cards.

Baseball 2025: During February I helped Dwight Historical Society volunteers sort through their archives. We stumbled upon several original photo prints featuring the Frank L. Smiths. We also uncovered one we’d never seen before. ⚾️

I LOVE that 1977 OPC included a totally-not-airbrushed Bobby Murcer on the Cubs, it’s kind of like a traded card considering Murcer was depicted as a Giant in the flagship Topps issue.
