Six Pilots: I totally screwed up today's Immaculate Grid. I accidentally clicked on Ken Boswell instead of Dave and put in Dick Hall!

Your Cards of the Day: Bobby Grich left Baltimore to sign as a free agent with the Angels prior to the 1977 season. Topps, O-Pee-Chee and Hostess all tried to obscure his Orioles past. My favorite is the OPC. I like the old school cap black out coupled with raised bill.

Your Cards of the Day: "Surreal Combinations" Edition: On Independence Day, what is more appropriate than a 1952 Topps "Look 'n See" card of John Phillip Sousa? Current Astro Bennett Sousa represents the National Pastime. Enjoy the 4th!

The high temperature in Seattle today might reach the low 70s. It was 64Β° in the house this morning. I turned on the heat. Sorry, rest of America.

Your Cards of the Day: Rick Monday's 1977 O-Pee-Chee airbrush job is odd. The "artist" appeared to go back to the 1971 season when LA had shoulder stripes on the road jerseys. Maury Wills' 1972 card shows the stripe. Rick's 1977 Hostess is a typical airbrush masterpiece.

Your Cards of the Day: "Photo Bomb" Edition: Gary Peters was bombed by Billy Conigliaro on his 1972 card. Billy was bombed by a guy with cool shades and a man with classic male pattern baldness in 1971.

Your Cards of the Day: With the advent of the summer solstice, it's time to once again feature the baseball "Pagans." Dave Pagan's "glowing" cap is the result of his channeling the earth's energy by utilizing the ley lines criss-crossing the Oakland Coliseum.

Your Cards of the Day: In 1966, the Braves moved to Atlanta and the Angels went to Anaheim, becoming California. Topps didn't want to confuse America's youth by showing the Milwaukee "M" ot "LA" on caps. The resulting cap-less photos are perfect for a barbershop hairstyle poster.

Your Cards of the Day: Though Allen is a fairly common last name, four Allens in the 1968 set is an oddity. Of course, Dick (Richie) and Hank were brothers. I'm sure this piece of trivia has enriched your life immeasurably.
