and of course for any normal ass systems that are using llms in the pipeline of course these all will fail because a line of deterministic javascript is 1000x cheaper and economic equilibrium will trivially destroy all of those the second the bubble pops

the reason ai will successfully replace a lot of coding is that a huge amount of real world coding is already people gluing together things they dont understand that only marginally work until it randomly works for their use case and ai does it better than most of them

How the hell did Colorado's GOP go so deep in the shitter? I'm old enough to remember when George W. Bush won it in 2004. But it was the only state that trended left alongside Washington State.

Looking at war news and this has to be the day the bubble pops, right? They can’t keep buying and selling oil that doesn’t exist for much longer can they? there’s already an energy crisis in most of the world. The “economy” is a massive collective hallucination we’re all conscripted into at birth.

I feel like the innovation that AI brings to programming still could be done without it. It's like using a chat bot to see what pieces of code you want to pull from open source projects. There's a chance it could be supplanted by a search engine for functions that also has a language translator.

the following are all probably true and not in the least contradictory: 1. There's a huge bubble in AI investment, the crash is going to be bad 2. A majority of the tasks we've been promised AI will "take over," it will not 3. AI will completely transform coding

A fun aside — MSG, owned by Trump pal James Dolan, tried to tell us that the party wasn’t cancelled because of Trump. And not long after, the NYPD sent an updated statement — yes, it’s cancelled because of the presidential visit. Here are the statements.

I have a longer thing I'm working on about this, with more data and stuff, but the key thing folks need to know: anyone on the left *CANNOT WIN* with any kind of content on platforms where the right owns the algorithm. Not just in politics — in entertainment media, or anything else.
