I don't know if calling videogames GAMES is the best thing anymore. I know it's a socio-historical, cultural issue, that whole thing, but the more I understand game design as EXPERIENCE design before being game design, the more I feel uncomfortable with that name to describe it as a media.

AI is making it very clear that artists for the last two decades have been way too subservient to marketing/exec decisions, focus group testing and trend-chasing when we should have been pushing way more for creative-driven projects and giving more pushback in general

It's impossible for me that this kind of IP resurgence isn't a direct consequence of the romhack/translation/"piracy" scene.

Superman was a great movie, but once again the evil in this movie is so much less evil than Israel is day in day out in reality that it's hard to take the "evil" seriously. Adore that the movie doesn't take itself too seriously, that it has heart, and that it is really about humanity. Very good.

Finished Linkle Liver Story! Very cute game, it has a distinctive fairytale storybook vibe that I really loved, with gorgeous art and animation. Gameplay-wise it's definitely "We have Zelda at home!" but I enjoyed it for what it was. What Sega Saturn game should I play next?
