Recovery scare today so ended up in hospital for a checkup. All good, apparently operation wounds like to have a delayed bleed, it shows that the swelling is reducing and the wounds are working on cleaning themselves out, or something along those lines. Anyway, still alive.

Recovering from surgery is painful. Really nasty that the spikes of pain are not blocked by the painkillers. But got through my first night, despite people fighting outside, others on the ward snoring and permanently coughing, and the nurses coming in every couple of hours to test blood pressure.

Well, today is a day that marks a journey to a loss of pain. Got surgery in the morning tomorrow that will hopefully stop me from being in pain every couple of hours.

Dug out some tiny Skaven from storage and painted them up for battle. Warmaster is an interesting and fast paced game of massive battles. Want to recreate Total War: Warhammer on the tabletop? This is the way to do it. 1000 points of Skaven are pictured.

Finally finished painting my Void Dragon. I got it from the translocation shroud Overlord batalion box ages ago and it has been sat half painted for over a year. Really like how the orange energies of Mephrit flow around the model.

Stargates must be operated by an AI or something like the doors in Star Trek. They stay open only for as long as they need to for those wanting to travel through, and will stay open for ages waiting for people to finish a conversation before they go through.

Watched Kung Fu Panda 4 yesterday. A nice film by itself but so many supporting character backstory changes from the previous films made it feel as though the writers had only read a brief synopsys of the previous films

I saw people complaining about Firefox adding AI stuff, but what they didn't say, was that you can very simply turn it all off in the AI controls page of the settings menu. No other browser lets you do that. Maybe they want you to turn it off so they can tell their investors to go do one.

Need new speakers. The current ones are many years old and their bass cone seems to be dying as it now comes through overpowering and crackly.

Finished painting up this bad boy (Aeldari Wraithlord) today after it was MVP of my last game. Originally built and added base coats of paint way back in 2006. 20 years later, I finally finish the details.

Whenever sharing a Youtube video, screw over their tracking systems. Don't share directly to a platform, take a moment, copy the link, paste it, but before sending, delete the question mark and everything after it. You still get the video, but they'll never know where you saw it from.

Been silent about my writing for a while as I suffered a month of brain fog and focussing on Fursuit construction. I hope to get more writing done soon. In the meantime, here is a model I got at Chriatmas, all built and painted

Had some Jehovahs Witnesses come to the door today. Only just realised that I could maybe have scared them off by saying we were gay, furry, and just nice because it's right. Instead our visiting friend scared them off by angrily asking if their god can cure them from being a "cripple".

GOOD NEWS! A group of patients with an otherwise incurable form of T‑cell leukemia have seen their cancer driven into REMISSION by an innovative immune therapy known as BE-CAR7. 82% of patients reached deep remission and 64% of patients have now been disease-free and OFF therapy for THREE years.

Wrote a whole chapter over Christmas eve and Christmas day, over 6000 words. Only got one page done today (roughly 1000 words). Travel interrupts the schedule tomorrow, but hopefully back at it on Sunday.
