I haven't been terribly political in past years. As many of you can tell, this has changed. I feel very strongly about our country and the direction in which we're headed. The federal election on April 28 is an existential one for Canada. This is not being over-dramatic. 1/

The horror show in the US threatens to drag us into its chaos as well. We will need good leadership and a good team to ride out the storm. In fact, we already have a good prime minister, Mark Carney, at the helm. He needs to continue. 2/

The recent polls have gladdened my heart but also worry me. Firstly, if people get complacent and don't get out to vote, this will all be for naught. Secondly, there has been tremendous fascist propaganda aimed at younger people, particulary men. 3/

It may be an uphill battle to reach them on gaming sites and gaming chats like Discord but we must act to blunt the poisonous influences that may result in Canada becoming a MAGA colony. 4/

Qualities like selflessness, empathy, respect for others and working for the common good need to be reinforced. And this will have to be done chiefly by other men. Perhaps this is more of a longer term project. I hope this demographic goes down the right path, now and in the future. 5/
