Can't recommend this one to people often enough--the language in the book verges on mysticism sometimes, but the results are concrete starting from the first exercise. Just get used to making weird noises on the floor!

#VoiceActors, Drink water! You should be aiming to drink at least two litres of water per day, and up it to three or more if you're exerting. Drink regularly, as that prevents mouth clicks! If you see yourself in the mirror, up that to six litres just to be sure, you hottie

Redoing my booth sample reminds me that being a #voiceactor means becoming cripplingly aware of every unwelcome pop and click one's mouth makes. 😣 DAW plugins can help, but those won't save you if you're handing in raw audio--stay hydrated, and chow down on those green apples! 🍏

Bit of advice for new #VoiceActor peeps in the field: For your mental health, when you audition for something, send it and forget it. If you get cast, it's a nice surprise! If you don't, you've already moved on. Don't be a dick about not getting cast in something :) Dicks get blacklisted <3

The best resource available to voice actors is other voice actors. We offer each other support, wisdom, knowledge. We tap in for each other when we're out, pick each other up when we're down, and have each other's backs when it counts. We're not competitors—we're collaborators!
