This morning's Palestine Action judgement doesn't help Romeo's candidacy either. The Home Office lost due to its inability to follow policy and procedure for which she as Perm Sec is responsible, and that doesn't help her case to be Cab Sec.

UPDATE: I've had a response from the Cabinet Office! "the statistics cited â19.2 million British citizens registered with X and 10.8 million families using the platformâ were provided by OmniGov, the government's media buying agency, who received this data directly from X itself."

After Xâs repressive actions, hundreds of thousands in Turkey joined Bluesky, seeking a freer space. Reports of government censorship here are deeply troubling. Donât squander this trust. This is a critical moment for principled leadershipânot silent compromise.

I know this isn't the biggest point, but note the complete absence of criticism for Bukele wearing a black sweater, instead of a shirt and tie. It seems if you are "the world's coolest dictator" and willing to become a US prison annex, turning up looking like a pimp in an off-Broadway musical is ok.

If the BBC is editorially independent of government, what is the purpose of this question? Other than permitting Tory BBC bashing? The last Tory gov stacked the BBC with it's own cronies (DG, Board, news leadership) and still isn't happy.

An interesting fact: since Clacton's been dragged through the media mud by our association with this bloke, property prices have plummeted. There were 3 flats under 190k when I bought mine, now dozens. Homes on sale aren't shifting. Tourism is down: the Pier is cutting their hours and staff. Cheers!
