The administration keeps framing these strike as counterterrorism and comparing the supposed ânarco-terroristsâ to AQ. But after 9/11, Congress actually affirmatively voted to use military force. That hasnât happened here. Instead Congress is trying to figure out what the executive is doing.

Remember, they're currently arguing that Biden's pardons are illegitimate because he signed the actual forms with an autopen. Trump, meanwhile, repeatedly insists he knows nothing at all about one of his very controversial pardons. Never heard of the guy! Sorta seems like a problem.

Hegseth sucks. The Qataris suck. But we arenât giving Qatar an airbase in Idaho. Itâs building dorms etc. at an existing base to train them on F-15s we sold them, just like Singapore already has there. Common arrangement we have with lots of countries. This one was already being planned under Biden.

I work with Veterans. If I told them that they "killed people and broke things for a living" they would (rightfully) tell me to go to hell. Those that have had to kill someone in the line of duty most often view it with sadness, regret, and one of the worst experiences of their lives.
