The only thing that stopped this was an editor doing the barest minimum due diligence vetting a pitch. This article shouldn't be seen as "look at how good AI is" but more "look at how complacent professional editors have become".

So PPS's "investment" in Lumi AI will have to go thru the school board so I'm writing letters to the board members to tell them how bad an idea Lumi AI is that there's lots of comics folks in Portland who'd probably be excited to work w/schoolkids to help them "find their voice through comics"
