Random thoughts of the day: 1. "Jacuzzi" is an Italian name, so it should actually be pronounced "jacutzi" (kinda like "pizza"). 2. Reese's Pieces contain no chocolate, but people often think they do. Those people need to pay more attention to their candy.

Re-watching "Stranger Things" in prep for S5. One of the little things I love about S1 is that Johnathan is the only one who pays enough attention to the boys to find them when they're hiding. In the 80s, nerds like us were pretty much invisible, even to our own families.

Saw the abbreviation "ICYMI" twice today, so I had to look it up. Jebus I'm old. Do y'all have to abbreviate everything? Damn kids, get off mah lawn!

Halloween movie #31: "In the Mouth of Madness" This is my favorite horror movie. It's John Carpenter, so there's some cheesiness, but the homages to Lovecraft, King, "Village of the Damned", and more, I love it so much. Sam Neill and Jurgen Prochnow are great as always.

Halloween movie #30: "The Howling" I'm sure this was great in 1981. It hasn't aged well at all. Not just the effects - a character learns his girlfriend is dead and reacts with...absolutely nothing. The ending hits a little close to home, though. And why do all werewolf movies suck?
