How was your bank holiday weekend? I used to work bank holidays so 1: I totally get those who are truly glad it's over 🤗, 2: I REALLY enjoy having the time off! we finished our GIY area, made with recycled wood (some from old shed, some from a skip we passed few weeks ago) + planted up seedlings

Cutting livestock methane deeply NOW is required.

Beach clean day. It's always a pain to disentangle this kind of rope and netting from the seaweed. I met a member of a local clean coasts group on the way home and that made it feel worth it.

Here in Pennsylvania, we had a similar situation over a hundred years ago, when forests all across the state were cut down for logging, etc. Now, though, we have great state parks, state forests, and state game lands where the forests have returned once the land was protected.

Family are great. Am so lucky with mine. 🙏 Just being able to giggle, chat and share with them. 🤗

I won't lie: after 3 weeks of experiencing almost unimaginably abundant and diverse Costa Rican nature, returning home to the Irish ecological moonscape is a visceral gut punch. But what Costa Rica shows is that it doesn't have to stay like this: nature CAN return. #Rewilding 🌍
