The obvious and enduring left critique of liberalism forever is that it can naively accommodate those who would seek to destroy it, and Sunstein cannot even be bothered to look at the arsonists he's brought into his big tent and figure out what they're doing with lighter fluid and matches.

Sunstein opening to Chotiner by saying his book on Liberalism was focused on saints not monsters, and then being unable to reconcile how figures like Hayek did not fit within his broad liberal paradigm, is at least as telling as the Kissinger stuff.
