Next mini project. These three space dwarfs (two #Oldhammer Citadel and one from @diehardminiatures.bsky.social ), plus three others that needed a second go in the stripping jar, need to be finished by the end of Oct.

I'm very pleased with how she's turned out, but getting this mounted thug finished has been a complete slog, and blew through my 31 August goal. Lovely minis but fiddly and multi-part. Plus the first horse I've painted since my very early days, before the idea of photo references occurred to me!

I built this kit from BMT miniatures. It’s based on an illustration from the original Rogue Trader book. I have to have ALL the tanks for my guard! I green stuffed in the gaps, now it just needs paint. Anyone know what this tank is called? I can’t find any information other than the illustration.

A great game of #Oldhammer in Exeter yesterday. My chaos force and skaven facing off against a force of dwarves. The goal was to control the middle of the field, with a ruined tower and church splitting the table into clear thirds. Despite a last minute painting splurge my choices were limited.

It's worth tidying sometimes. Box of bubble wrap had not only the orc standard bearer I was pretty sure was in there, but also the troll I was missing, the minotaur I could have done with finding a few weeks ago, ...

Fine, so normal powered armour is 6 points, space marine powered armour costs 14 points (equivalent to 4 suspensors, negating the heaviest of the heavy weapons). Me, still surprised how annoying this GM NPC stuff is 37 years later. 🫤 The psychology stuff they can have for free 😄

Finished my next two marines. Early December is frantic in our house, I made the mistake of packing my painting stuff away! The blue is more purple this time, a much better match imo. Very pleased with how they came out, the photos are unforgiving but 15 year old me would be blown away #oldhammer

Light bulb moment. The famous last stand of the Crimson Fists - it never happened! As per @coopgames.bsky.social 's head canon (that the codexes aren't reality, they're regime propaganda), the last stand is the cover-up of the fact that they blew themselves up with their own defensive weapons

Finally got a chance to varnish these. Was itching to disregard the "allow 24 hrs to dry" then life took over. Trying a more purple blue for the next set, then hopefully decide on a scheme for the squad. I'm happy with how these turned out but the colour isn't quite "right" #oldhammer #Warhammer40k

Still pretty happy with my classic land speeder conversion. It was upgraded to the same footprint as the plastic land speeder by no small dint of smutzing about with plasticard and bitz.
