It's always been hilarious that it's an unsportsmanlike penalty for a player to remove their helmet after a play is over. Like, the play is over. Who cares? Why does it matter if you celebrate with your helmet on or off? 😂

This is such an egregious take. No one forced Lane to do this right now. If he wanted to finish what he started, he could have chosen to do so. Trying to put the blame on the school instead of the coach holding the school hostage is batshit insane.

Can you imagine if the talking heads in college sports put as much energy into bashing Lane Kiffin right now as they do the transfer portal? A coach holding his team hostage amidst a playoff run & no one says a peep, but 10 times every game an announcer has to bash the portal & kids transferring

The logic (& math) are actually fairly straightforward. You have to get a 2 point conversion no matter what just to go to OT, the timing of when you get it is irrelevant to that. The only way to win in regulation is to go. The only way to win the game if you don’t get the 2 point is to go.
