Been volunteer tree planting this morning as part of the Cornwall Council Forest for Cornwall. I planted some Alder, Birch, Hawthorn, and Pines but other species were planted too.

I went to see #HisforHawk this afternoon. Claire Foy was brilliant as usual, I learnt things, and I was in awe of a Goshawk on the big screen. Unusually for me, I saw the film before reading the book so I picked up a copy on the way home.

Saw this Grey Squirrel eating some berries high up in the trees near the river.

That murmuration was breathtaking. Sad it’s over but what a brilliant #Winterwatch this year, thanks to all involved.

The Pallas’s Warbler at Penrose estate nr Helston survived Storm Goretti. First found on the 4th Jan, it was still showing on the 10th. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area. #cornwallbirding #birding #ukbirding

I made this work in 2012. I filled a humming top with plastic objects found in the stomach of one albatross chick on Kure Atoll (Northwestern Hawaiian islands). 340 g. Cigarette lighters, plastic fragments, toys and mainly bottle caps. There is a reason why the lids no longer come off the bottles!
