I saw lots of people turn away at the polls yesterday when they were told it was a 1 hour plus wait. That is the only explanation for such a low turnout in an election that had an anti-incumbent theme and a fairly rare wide-open mayoral race.

Obviously UCP policy on bike lanes is a step backwards. But places like 1st street on my commute - no bike lanes but bikes routinely out number cars and just "take the lane" - make me wonder if it will really be worse for bikes or cars.
