Today I had the delight of seeing some family members I had last seen at my wedding. It was so wonderful to get the chance to catch up a bit, although no matter how hard I tried I didn’t successfully prepare myself for how big the kids are now. Family can be awesome.

Got home late from an event & started working on a few chores intermingled with collapsing in a heap on the couch. I was going to keep working on the chores but our cat who lives almost exclusively upstairs came down & told me in no uncertain terms that it was time for bed. Point taken, little Bea.

It looks like mama’s final count is 6 babies. Everyone seems to be active and doing well. Mama gets off the nest when I pull back the cover of the playpen but she doesn’t hiss or growl or panic. I am going to give her a day or two to get more comfy before I handle the babies for weights and sexing.

In an attempt to remind myself and anyone else reading this that some things are still good in this world…. I got a lovely stretch of cross stitch done tonight, & I think I’ll finish this picture this week. Also, I had a cat fall asleep purring on my chest. It’s not all bad.

My cat once again is discovering the joy of rolling around on the rug.

I spent a few hours tonight playing my favorite video game, & my cat spent a few hours jumping up in front of the tv & blocking my view of the game. Normally he prefers to snuggle or look out the window but tonight it was all about being a door, not a window.
