Israel intends to bomb all bridges on the Litani river, cutting off south Lebanon. At this rate neither UNIFIL nor the Lebanese army would be able to operate. Israel says they want Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah while being the ones weakening the state. Again: the goal is to destroy Lebanon itself.
