This settlement also forced Northwestern to abandon gender affirming care for trans youth. Using the need for Jewish safety as an excuse to take it away from others actually increases antisemitism and leaves us all less safe.

Also, once again making it crystal clear the attacks on higher education never had anything to do with protecting Jewish students.

The goal is to make military equipment in cities seem normal, not to improve safety. It's laying the groundwork for more and worse, for the viewing satisfaction of people who have been told to hate and fear cities and their residents.

Once again, the Trump admin is elevating someone with white nationalist ties—this time nominating Darren Beattie to the U.S. Institute of Peace. Extremist ideologies have no place in our government or our democracy. We must call this what it is: dangerous.
