Went for an interview today for a laborer gig this fall, got offered it. I'm taking it, though it's just something to cover some bills this winter. The job market is still bad and not to be too doomy but I think people are gonna really see the impact this winter seaon.

Mess around with a PNGtuber program and made a quick little toad guy as a test. Pretty happy with the results. It's not beautiful animation, but it's fun, and I want to do some more with this stuff.

I log out of a lot of social media on my phone and that has helped. I miss the fun of posting and replying with online friends, but the constant firehose of news (both terrible and good) has been wearing me thinner and thinner lately.

Wild(ish) to me the overlap between the crowd saying "violence is never the answer" and the "we need guns to stop a tyrannical government" as if these weren't conflicting thoughts to hold.

I feel like I've seen "Why did the engineers install red lights for when their robot turned evil?" posts a lot for how common it is for a red light to be the sign a device has malfunctioned and/or just has a red light standard.

I always lowkey dug into trying to figure out the psychology of players in PvP games. Trying to get in the opponent's head and get one step ahead of them.

I am the chronically online of my family, and I'm trying to give myself a break from that role, but it's not easy.

Been playing Slay The Princess a lot trying to 100% the game, but it's wild to still find new paths I hadn't even considered before! So many twists and turns. Love how the game plays out.

Helldivers 2 etiquette tips: 3. You can pick up and use stuff other players stratagem and gear, but make sure it's okay. Either ask directly or wait until they leave it. Most people are chill with you grabbing extra stuff as they call down more equipment. Drop it if asked for it back.

I'm still riding the high of dropping in on a random Bug cave mission and getting to fight and down the Hive Lord! 🤩

So... something I need to vent about real quick. One of the things I hate about my job is having to tell someone we don't have a thing they want/need. And very regularly lately I've been having to tell our homeless patrons we don't have any food to give them.

Just got done playing the new underground bug missions in Helldivers 2 and it's crazy down there. Drop my difficult down to 7 and still struggled to complete the objectives. Loved it. #helldivers2

For folks at Dragon Con, the artist alley booths to avoid are A10, Oriana Gerez, and D2, James C Mulligan. The first seems to be a shell company with little online presence and the second is an ex-Disney artist. Both are being accused of selling works with Gen ai.
